Bridging the Skills Gap

Stockholm is one of the leading tech cities in the world.

We are seeing record levels of investments in the technology space, and more knowledge-intensive companies are being started here than ever before. Companies like Spotify, King (Candy Crush) and Mojang (Minecraft) were all started in Stockholm and the next generation of success stories are already gaining attention from around the world.

Yet the number one challenge facing these companies is recruitment. The shortage of talent, and in particular tech talent, in Stockholm is at alarming levels.

  • But what exactly are the in-demand skills in Stockholm?
  • What unique skills sets Stockholm apart from other cities?
  • Are people with the right skill sets moving to Stockholm, or moving away from Stockholm?

Thanks to LinkedIn and their unique labour market insights we can answer these questions and many, many more.

LinkedIn has conducted an indepth analysis study of the workforce in Stockholm and has uncovered some unique insights about the supply and demand of talent in the region, what the unique strengths are and the emerging areas of growth.

Join us for a lunch seminar where this study will be released and presented for the very first time in Sweden. The presentation will be followed by discussion with key stakeholders in Stockholm, including universities, employers and entrepreneurs, about how the city can best use these insights to better respond to the changing demand for skills and emerge as a global hub for talent.

The seminar is free of charge, lunch will be served.
